CRUSHN! Sports has also brought onboard as Assistant Coach, Felipe Maqueda, Director of PUMAS-UNAM Filial Seattle Soccer School. Felipe played in minor leagues for Atlanta and College for the University of Mexico. Felipe coached for BHSC for 8 years winning many tournaments and working with youth development programs. The Capitan of the Hispanic All-Stars is Jose Chavez an accomplished player from Team Mendoza Corp. residing in the league "Interliga".
Under Bill’s watchful eye during 3 extensive tryouts, the Hispanic All-Stars have pulled the best players from the five top Hispanic Leagues and held open casting calls for the best-of-the-best of the Pacific Northwest. The presenters of The Comcast Cup are Northshore Youth Soccer Association and CRUSHN! Sports. The event is a professional soccer game featuring the Seattle Sounders versus the Hispanic All-Stars. Game day is March 30 at the Pop Keeney Stadium, Bothell. The soccer match will be televised to 700,000 viewers on Comcast On Demand and available in Western Washington 48 hours after the conclusion of the event to all digital cable customers.
Proceeds from the event benefit the NYSA Scholarship program, which enables soccer to be available to underprivileged kids.
