FCA G94 Reiter rebounds with 2-0 win

March 18, 2012, Bothell, Wa. - Manager Alistair got the team off to a good day with a pre-game photo shoot and the good vibe apparently followed on to the field as Alliance G94 shut out Rush Swoosh 2-0 and moved to 5W-3L-3T with 18 points on the standing with one remaining game.

Out of the gate, the two teams seem to be evenly matched with both teams taking turns shooting on goal or earning corners.  Lene was in goal for FCA the whole 90’ and had several nice saves coming out to cut down the attacking Rush forwards, particularly Rush #20.  FCA defensive backs were kept extremely busy in the first half as Mickey, Bri-Sac, Taylor C and Taylor A were seen busy turning away the opponents.

Despite many scoring opportunities by both teams during the second half, the first goal of the game wouldn’t come until the 78th minute when Dassni cleaned up a loose ball off Rush GK after a melee between Micaela and a Rush defender at top right of the 18-meter box.  The 1-0 FCA lead was increased 3 minutes later when Ally served one up from the right and Micaela finishing it off with a lop over Rush GK from 12 yards out.

FCA G94 will host its last 2012 RCL game at Woodinville Sports Field #2 against Federal Way Reign, which had already clinched the division title with its 7W-0L-4T, 25 points.  Alliance will have an opportunity leap frog Crossfire-Crum and finish third if it’s able to pull out a victory next week.
