Director of Player Development
Job Description
  1. Report to the FCA Executive Committee and attend at least one FCA Board meeting per quarter, or as required by the FCA Executive Committee.
  2. Design a player evaluation/feedback process that instructs the team coaches as to how and when to provide feedback to the players
  3. Design the training priorities for each age group and level. Organize supplementary age and level appropriate skill clinics for the players.  Provide guidance and mentoring to team coaches in designing their own team’s seasonal plans
  4. Educate the players and the parents about the playing opportunities beyond the club level, such as the Olympic Development Program [ODP], and encourage the best players to try out for ODP
  5.  Identify the most talented players in the club and alert the State and Regional Coaches for possible inclusion in State and Regional Teams
  6. Oversee and help implement a Youth Academy for the club that remain consistent with the club developmental philosophy
  7. Create a college recruiting information program and educate the players and parents on college playing opportunities
  8. Promote the club within the community and help with public relations
  9. Coach will work with team coaches on minor problem solving and conflict resolution.
  10. Coach will attend the Camp Casey training weekend.
  11. Coach will assist at tryouts.
  12. Participate in preseason meetings with all coaches and answer all questions pertaining to you from parents.
  13. Be an easily accessible person that maintains good rapport with administrators, coaches, parents and players.
  14. Assist in all general administration work as directed by the FCA Executive Committee.
  15. Create and maintain networks with surrounding clubs.
  16. Coach will be available for vacation coverage and substitute coaching as deemed necessary by the FCA Coaching Director.
