Professional Experience
- Midfielder, Seattle Sounders, 2007 -2008, United Soccer League. Coached by Brian Schmetzer. The Sounders were USL Division 1 Champions and Cascadia Champions during Hugo’s time with the team. He also led the team in assists in that same time period. The Sounders were US Open Cup Semi-finalists both seasons. In February 2010, Hugo was ranked 15th in the USL First Division "Top 25 of the Decade" that listed the best and most influential players of the previous decade.
- Midfielder, Portland Timbers, 2002 - 2006, United Soccer League. Coached by Bobby Howe. Hugo led the team in assists in each of his five seasons with Portland, as well as leading the USL Division 1 in assists during the 2004 and 2005 seasons (he was the first player in league history to hold that title in two consecutive years). Hugo also holds the title of "All-Time Leader in Assists" for the Portland Timbers team. The Timbers were the Cascadia Champions in 2004 and the Commissioner’s Cup Champions, also in 2004. The team was ranked second in games played as well as third in points for the club.
