Club Committees
Have a Voice

Club committees assist the executive committee in the operation of FC Alliance Premier. The committees allow members to have a more direct voice in how the club operates and serves the needs of the members. To volunteer for a committee appointment, please contact the associated executive committee member using the email link below.

 

Committee Charter Contact
Nominating Committee The Nominating Committee shall prepare a list of candidates to fill the open positions at the upcoming election. The list shall include at least one candidate for each open position. Nominations shall be based on criteria prescribed by the Board. The Nominating Committee shall notify nominees at least thirty days prior to the election. Nominees must submit a nomination packet, which includes a resume, a statement of function and written acceptance of their nomination to FCA offices at least 15 days prior to the election. Scholarship Committee

Any Playing Member that requests financial assistance from the Club to offset Club expenses must:

1. Qualify for the applicable School Lunch support program and produce evidence of same or
2. submit a description of “another hardship situation” in writing to the Club Scholarship Committee

Scholarships may take the form of partial payments, delayed payments, etc. as determined by the Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are not automatic and must be renewed each playing year.

Audit Committee

The Executive Committee will appoint a 3 person Audit Committee (not to include any Executive Committee members) to audit the fiscal operations of the Club. The Audit Committee will produce reports quarterly on one fourth (1/4) of the Team Accounts to the Board. It will also report annually about the status of the Club’s fiscal operations (Club Account) in January each year. The Audit Committee should be made up of no less than one Parent Member of the Club with professional accounting background.

Executive committee will review volunteers and appoint the committee.

Raffle Committee Organize a club raffle to be completed prior to the start of the fall season. This raffle must conform to the Washington State laws and IRS regulations. Proceeds will contribute to the club operating expenses and scholarship program. Morrie Matlick, Secretary
Bylaws and Operating Procedures Revision Committee Update club bylaws and operating procedures to bring in line with current operations model and alignment with WYSA and NYSA.  John Brezak, President
Soccer Operations Committee The Board shall establish a committee to oversee and manage the game of soccer and related activities for the club. It will work with the Director of Coaching to review and the club’s soccer program against the club’s mission and goals. Committee members will be appointed by the Executive Committee from a list of volunteers. The Committee shall be made up of 3 parents, 3 coaches, the Director of Coaching, and Executive Committee chairperson. Britt Johnston, Executive VP
Club Picnic Committee Organize a Club Picnic to be held no later than the end of September. Britt Johnston, Executive VP
Tournament Exploratory Committee Explore how to create a club Tournament. This can include organizing a “Premier” division for the Northshore Youth Soccer Association’s annual Cranberry cup help Thanksgiving weekend. Nathan Hood, VP Competition
Auction Exploratory Committee Explore how to create a club Auction fundraiser to help pay club operating expenses to minimize member fees. Shelley Hood, Advanced Development Coordinator
